Beyoncé is éChannelsMarilynMonroeinBombshellLook atGlamoursWomenoftheYearCeremony serving some Marilyn Monroe realness.
The 43-year-old wowed in a sultry look for the Glamour Women of the Year gala Oct. 8, where she stepped out to support her mom Tina Knowles, who was recently honored on the magazine’s Women of the Year: The Moms cover.
A vision in daffodil, Bey sported a vibrant short sleeved top belted with a matching satin skirt. Her platinum blonde locks added to the eye-popping look, as she posed with Mama Tina, Kelly Rowland, her cousin Angela Beyince and Glamour’s Editor-in-Chief Samantha Barry.
During the women empowerment event, Beyoncé was spotted mingling with many of the famous guests—as seen on videos shared to social media—giving Team USA gymnast Suni Lee a sweet hug and seeming to cheer her on as she looked animated during their exchange.
And there wasn’t a dry eye in the house when Beyoncé’s mom took to the stage to speak about her role as a mother.
“I’ve been so blessed in my life to do many things. I’ve had many careers, but I’ve always said the best job that I’ve ever had is being a mother,” Tina, who is also mom to Solange Knowles with ex-husband Mathew Knowles, said. “I’ve had the privilege of raising and helping to raise four daughters—I’mma cry, baby—Two that were born to me and two that were a gift to me from god.”
As Tina got choked up addressing the audience, Beyoncé, who is mom to Blue Ivy Carter, 12, and twins Rumi and Sir Carter, both 7, with Jay-Z, was seen wiping away tears.
“They have been right there by my side at the lowest points of my life, and they have cheered me on at the highest points in my life,” Tina said of her children, “making me feel like I could conquer anything.”
And while the evening was about Tina and the other mothers honored on the magazine’s cover, Beyoncé also got a special shoutout from country singer Kelsea Ballerini.
As the “Heartfirst” singer took the stage, she acknowledged Bey’s impact on country music with her hit Cowboy Carter album.
“I also just want to say, I’m a country artist and the fact that Beyoncé made a country record changed the game,” she told the cheering crowd as Beyoncé put her hands on her heart and mouthed “Thank you so much.”
For a look back at Beyoncé’s ever-evolving style through the years, read on.
